Your Rights Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act:
- Right to Erasure: Purge your profile, biometrics, and chat records within the app or at /delete-account.
- Right to Data Portability: Export your full personal data payload, mutual consent logs, and audit trails in structured JSON.
- 48-Hour Location Wipe: Self-service wiping of all 500m grid locations and path logs directly inside Settings.
- Consent Withdrawal: Revoke consent for proximity radar, marketing, or biometric verification anytime.
3. Live Proximity Radar & Location Privacy
Aura connects singles through mutual proximity while guaranteeing privacy:
- Foreground-Only Location: Coordinates are queried only when the app is active (
NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription&ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION). Continuous background tracking is completely disabled. - Fuzzy Relative Distance: Exact latitude and longitude are never shown to other users. Only relative distance (e.g. "2.4 km away") and radar angles are rendered.
- Path-Crossing Echoes: Uses an obfuscated 500-meter geo-grid that automatically expires and purges after 48 hours.
4. 3D Biometric Active Liveness & Photo Verification
- Active Liveness Detection: We use on-device ML Kit Face Mesh detection to verify Euler head turn angles (yaw/pitch). Biometric vectors are evaluated temporarily to verify human authenticity and prevent catfishing.
- Photo Storage: Profile photos are securely hosted in Firebase Storage with authenticated read access and access token governance.
5. Voice Intros, Audio & Video Calls
- Microphone Usage: Microphone access is requested solely to record 30-second audio profile intros and voice messages.
- Encrypted Calling: Real-time WebRTC audio/video calls require active two-way consent and are protected in our Secret Vault module.
